who is smarter in general--the doctor or lawyer? who would you rather date?

Depends on the type of doctor but the lawyer usually has to remember more stacks of information to pull from to argue their cases. I'd go with lawyer only because my boyfriend wants to be a lawyer and I think I'll keep him.

Hmm, I don't think either is always smarter - that's on a case by case basis. But they both would be good. You can get free health advice from the doctor and free legal advice from the lawyer. Not that I advocate dating either for solely that, but its a definite perk.
I'd personally prefer the lawyer, because I enjoy arguing, but I don't know if that would work very well in a relationship..

Being that my dad is a lawyer, I would have to say I'm not turned off by them. He became a divorce attorney because his wife screwed him over. So I would say he's in the minority of lawyers who actually care about his clients. But doctors are cool too. Although i've been treated worse by doctors than lawyers....so yeah. I'm torn.

They're equal. I'd go with the doctor, if he were a specialist, so he wouldn't be on call for emergencies. Otherwise, a lawyer.

neither one actually...I wouldn't date either of them..the Dr will be on call or in the hospital all the time with patients...the lawyer will be doing paperwork or spending all his time at the office, billing hours...
Find yourself a nice engineer, rocket scientist..garbageman...waiter....you'd be surprised how some really smart people are in nowhere jobs, because they like them...
