Me and my husband have been married for almost 3 years now. I am white and he is black. At first it was hard for my family to accept the fact that I was with a Black man. But they got to know him and really liked him. He feels that people stare and look at us. I really don't notice, I really don't pay attention. He does though. One thing that my husband has a problem with is showing public affection. He will not hold my hand in public and he will not go to some places with me. For instance he will not go to a bar or club. But he will go with other people. Is there a way that I can get him to feel more compitable with me and accept the fact that he should not care what other's think. Is there any one else out there with the same problem.

I have been married for 11 yrs. We have 2 sons. My husband has been verbally, physcially, & emitionally abusive through out the marriage. But he says he loves me. Is this ok? I'm tired of being cld names & he hasn't hit me in 2 yrs since he broke my wrist. Plz don't write that I should leave him. I don't work & go to school full time & have no way to support myself or my children

My husband and I for the most part have been best friends. Today he has been an ***. He told me he was going to sign up for everyday overtime just to not be around me anymore. He also said that I spend to much money and he is sick of it while the whole time he is yelling and calling me names. We have been married for 8 yrs now and I wish I wasn't going thru this as I am a person and I thought he was my friend. What changed for this to happen today nothing in our life has gone that bad ....

Problem is I DON'T NOT get along with my mom but she's going to stay where i live now where all of my friends are. My dad is moving and I get along with my dad great but then I'd have to start all over again. I'm going to be starting my 10th grade year, and kinda don't want to move in high school but there WILL BE too many probs with my mom. Don't answer if you're gonna say "go will whoever you like most" that would be nice in an imaginary world but there are many more factors than that.

each time i go out with someone,,i meet another guy who i end up likeing at the same time. right now i have a bf and I love him I really do but when I go to the lake[[summer hangout spot <33]] I always meet this one guy that I like and I can tell that he likes me. It seems like every time I get my self esteem up, it's easily destroyed because someone tells me I'm ugly. My brother tells me I have a big nose and sadly I think its true. I'm pressured to feel that I need to have a girlfriend, but the thing is I really don't WANT to start dating right now. I'm 16 years old, I'm not gay, but I don't want to date, but peple make such a big deal out of it. My own brother tells me I need to get a girl.

Can someone older assure me that I will grow out of this? I hate being pressured to start dating and worrying about looks. It's driving me nuts!

ive been w/ my bf for 4 1/2 mths. and its mostly long distance right now...hes in the army. I do like him and all..but I just dont know if i wanna be with him any more...we've been having a lot of issues and i cant take it ....i just want to be happy and im not ya know. We've been having problems about sex mostly...he wants me to try something i dont and i want him to try something that he doesnt want to try and it feels like its becoming a bigger issue as dumb as that sounds i know....i just feel like he just cares about only himself and not me (yes im talking about sex but everything elses also) and i feel that he doesnt care if he satisfies me or not....all that matters if is hes satisfied. what should i do? talking to him about it seems to get no where...im so lost right now...plz help :(

My friend came to pick up her kitty I cat sat for and my new "gentleman caller" was here (if you get my adult drift) and now, she has not returned my calls. Her phone doesn't have voicemail so she always calls me back within a day when she sees my ID on it. I have called her twice now so far and no callback. It is now two days later. (one call per day)
My caller is black and I am white and she is white. My thinking on this is to give her three strikes and then she's out.
Before you ask, she was in and out of the house but she had her daughter and granddaughter outside waiting at the curb.
I'm a bit bummed about it largely because I never thought she had it in her. Problem arising soon: I'm going to be starting an art class that she has been attending. I DO NOT want to quit the class as I want to learn sketching, pastels, etc and its free. Nor do I see where I should change my life to please her.
How should I handle this whole situ??

am turning 20 and suddenly it hit me all of my friends are changing, maturing, having boyfriends, some even have kids, well i know its way too young right, then most of them are graduating and i still have to stay atleast 4 years in college because i need to take up law,
at this point have you felt that you are loosing your friends, like most of them are taking life seriously and you are still stuck with having fun and playing games with life, like you dont want a boyfriend you want to still have fun and all of them are insisting that you should have one, i dont know i got lost, perhaps i have been reading too much to observe that all of them grew up and i still think like peter pan
i dont know if at some point they want to be like me unattached, without major responsibilities except my responsibility with learning, i dont know if having a boyfriend would make me feel matured.

okay,..me and my boyfriend are planning on getting married. Once im done with school im getting a job and going to beauty school,..im worried cuase il probley be working on weekends and beauty school is mon.-fri. i only really get to see my boyfriend on saterdays cuase he lives far off..and im worried that with the busy days i wont have any time to see him and im scared of our relationship drifting away with the lack of communication. My Grandmother doesn't like my mom at all and always says bad things about her to me. Recently I have been busy with school/work and I wasn't able to call her every week. She started telling me that I was like my mother. Now she is really mean to me when I talk to her and yells at me for not talking to my dad who I don't ignore but just have nothing to talk about with because he never returns my calls. I have my immediate family with my siblings and their children that I am VERY close with so should I just ignore my Grandma and close that family out of my life or just bite my tongue when she's rude with me?

im 27 have not lived with either for 10 years. my mom is feeble minded and has one foot in the loony bin, my sister is not the sharpest tool in the shed. here is what happedn. my OB doctor i swtiched from him bcuz he wouldnt write me the note i need to go on matnerity leave. so after i swtiched to a new doctor, he went behind my back and called my HR and told them my post traumatic stress disorder is acitng up and asked if they cover that under FMLA. i had no idea he was going to call them nor did i even consent to it. i ddint want my job knowing my PTSD was acting up i told him that under doctor/patietn privalege in confidence. i fired him over it and told hime he broke the law. anyway my nutty mom decided to take it on herself to call him on her own accord and beg him to take me back as a patietn and tell him that i need a doctors note. then she called me and says " gee i took care of everythign hes so nice " i said ' yeah of course hes being nice h can lose his medical license
