I have been living with a guy that I really love for 3 years and we have known each other for 6 years. He says he loves me all the time and that he wants to get married. He is a great guy in a lot of ways. But he hasn't gotten me a ring or made any plans with me. He makes excusses about not having enough money. I need to know how long I should wait or how do I know if hes not really serious.

Every one of my friends have gotten married. Now I never hear anything from them. I understand that priorities change when you tie the knot, but can they not find five minutes out of the day to at least call and say hello?

When things aren't going well, I often feel feelings of absolute hatred towards my spouse. I feel as though I hate everything to do with him. I have never felt this way before. When things are good I feel positive feelings but those times are becoming more and more scarce. Is this normal - can anyone help me?

Like, I never smile. I DON'T enjoy being recognized. I'm not supercillious and I just like to keep to myself. Not anti-social I just don't like people on my back therefore I don't brag and don't like anyone to brag about me. Make sense? Please give me an answer.

Should I break up?
my gf told me that she doesnt have to appreciate me because I live in her house but she says that I should I should appreciate everything she does. she also says that cooking is not her responsibility and she shouldnt have to feel obligated to have sex with me. Her mom is always dipping into our relationship and its making me sick. Ive been raising her kids for 5 years and now that the real dad wants to step up, she feels that I should roll with it and continue doing my part as their fake dad. She says that since I live here, its my responsibility. help please

I completely gave up my freedom and independance for a woman with kids. I moved into her house and proceeded to being a good man and a good father. at first she was so nice and appreciative and now after 5 years, she says that she does'nt have to appreciate me and its my responsibility since I live here but when I ask her to cook, she says " its not my job to cook for you". Shes always blaming me for her life being a disaster and her not having a social life but I feel that I tried to help her. she feels that if she cant go out than I should'nt either.

am I wrong? i feel that Ive givin this situation everything and yet she still wants more. Its not my fault that she got stuck with 2 kids by 2 losers. giving up my independance is more than enough, I dont have anything left. HELP

My wife and I recently have had a Eternity ring custom made. Unfortunately it was sized a 1/4" too big. We have talked to the makers and they suggested that we have them melt a spacer in the ring, but we would like to as much as possible avoid the melting route. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can use to space the Eternity ring?

Thanks in advance..

is there any benefits for a spouse to buy a house in his and his wife's name if he is planning to get a divorce?

My gf goes out with her female freinds to drink a little and dance a little with her freinds about once a month. A freind of mine and I agree that she ought to have protection on her just in case.

Both of us used to go out to the clubs, and often enough we hooked up with girls on girls nights out that we knew had or most likely had boyfreinds - or more (as in, my freind hooked up with a chick with a ring). it wasn't that they were disatisfied, but we showed them some excitement and sometimes it paid off. those were crazier days for me - and i don't live like that anymore - but there were certainly guys who were way better at scoring than i was.

so my thing is, if my gf ends up in the back seat - and i don't think she will (i just think, and at least one other guy i know has confirmed, when your out and booze is involved, **** happens) - i'd like for her not to bring anything home to me. i mean, if it happened, i'd never know. i repeat - i have no suspicion - i just think if your out partying, you ought to have proper equipment.

so is my logic sound? And how do you tell your gf she ought to have protection without 1) making a tacit accustation or 2) giving legitimacy to improper conduct?

What if your elderly father was unable to get to the bathroom because his feet were turning black(you would later find out,it is gange green), while his wife stood and watched as the infection took its toll and you were called to come over to make the decision whether he was to go to the hospital? What if he then became hospitalized and you found out that his infection was costing him his life, because it hadn't been treated fast enough and she was signing his name to his checks without power of attorney, committing forgery, to pay her bills while he laid in the hospital suffering from dementia? Would you take her to court? What if she only went to see your father once a week, and shared the holidays with her grown children while your father was hooked up to an oxygen machine, drugged out of his mind to keep away the pain? Would you try to get her on neglect? What is she was taking a vacation with your father's money? To what extent would you go?

If she doesn’t want to go out with the guy because she thinks that he is ugly, no one can blame her for simply being honest, but why do women act as if they’ve been insulted if an average looking guy asks them out?

Consider the recent song by Pink (“You plus your hand”). The lyrics are about a girl at a club publicly insulting & demeaning a guy who is appears to have done nothing worse than try to offer her a free drink. Her way of turning the guy down seems to be overkill.

Since this is a popular song, it appears that a lot of people like the lyrics.

Why does this immature woman think that it is cool to insult some innocent stranger who is apparently just trying to be nice? My experience has shown that many girls behave exactly this way whenever a guy walks over to say “hello”. Why is it cool to be a jerk? Is she trying to make a point? If so, what is it?

And what makes her think that the guys will understand her point?

My husband cheated on me about 2 1/2 yrs ago with a woman he met for the purpose of cheating on me. He has also had several emotional affairs. He has some ongoing issues, & I have been patient, willing to work on us, doing most of the postaffair recovery. He seems to think it was wrong, says he was sorry, and that's basically it. I could get over all this, if he were to work on himself or us, but he doesn't (at least consistently or often). It's left to me. He also talks about other women he has been with, or propositioned while he is with me (in intimate ways). Sometimes when I ask him questions, his answers change. He recently told me of a detail of his OW while we were being initimate. It was something I asked him awhile back & received a different answer. He said he does it to get me going, or because it turns him on. The other day he did it cuz he was annoyed that I was annoyed with him, so he did it as punishment. How can I get over affairs when he keeps throwing it in my face?
