I'm in a wonderful relationship but I'm not getting the affection I crave. I love her and after years of being with her, I've come to the conclusion that she's just not the type. Is it possible to simply 'turn it off'? Can I suppress my feelings or make them go away so the relationship will work? Can I still have a fulfilling life without it? Is it something a person has to have or is it simply psychological? By affection, I mean hugging, kissing, holding hands, gazing at each other, foreplay kinda stuff. Are we just taught to want these things? I'm curious to know what other people think.

Am 24 years old, and the girl i love is 38 years old, we have been in love since 2 years. We are facing some problems from people around. My family are not agreeing at all. Her family are accepting this fact but slowly. We love each other, we respect each other, and understand each other in everything. She was my coordinator at university for 4 years. Our relation started in the middle of the 3rd year of university.

I'm very confused on how to place this question but its important to me.
I've just broken up with my 2 year running boyfriend, a guy that I've known all my life, and I don't know why I did it. I'm still in love with him which makes me feel stupid but somehow something wasn't working. He said that he loves me still but he was acting different all of a sudden. Like all shy like one of those old elementary school crushes or something. I'm confused on why he's doing this and I've asked him but he won't say anything to me. Is it possible for me to get back with him, or should I just let him go? Is there something wrong with him thats obvious but I don't know about it? What should I do here, I'm so confused!?

I have three older brothers. Two are great, I love them. But the other one? Yeah, he is REALLY not great. All he does is laugh at me, make fun of me, hit me, shout at me. He's so smart that I can't say anything witty to his mean remarks, because he'll always say something better. I can't sit down with him and tell him he's upsetting me because he'll laugh at me and won't ever drop it. And if I'm winning the argument, he'll just mimick me and then laugh some more. It's so frustrating!

I've tried telling my parents but they sigh and tell me to ignore him. It's so hard. I think I'm actually scared of him. He makes me want to run away. I can't cope with him anymore. It doesn't sound so bad, you may think it's just a simple teasing. But it's much more. I can't stand him and I don't know what to do about it :'(

I was sexually abused as a child. It didn't last very long or happen often and I was very very young, but it did happen and I remembered it all throughout my childhood and even now. I've told some of my past boyfriends this, and I've always wondered if somehow, maybe unconsciously, they might start to treat me badly or lose respect for me because I've been abused before. I know they shouldn't but people are people and can be weak and not realize they are doing it. I've had counseling. I can be a very confident person. I'm just wondering if I should tell the next person I date this stuff, or keep it in as if everyone in my life has treated me well. Then he might always treat me well, too.

A friend of mine (girl, 16) goes to her hockey pratice every single monday around 7.30. While cycling a man shows up (20-30 years old) and tries to pull her of her bike each time. It doesnt matter what route she cycles he allways shows up! its happened 4 times in a row now! Last time he was so rude that she even has scratches all over her hand now! The point is that she doesnt want to tell her parents, while its necessary if we want to go to the police which is nessery i think orr..? So what's the best i can do and what the hell is this man up too? Those bad things that i got in my mind or isnt it that bad? thx

Ok...here goes. Everytime I have been in the bed with my man..he is gentle, caring, loving and OH SO AWESOME! But, the other night...I wanted to walk on the wild side with him (never have before) So, I provoked him into it while I was giving him a **! He started holding tighter onto my hair and getting really excited. Then he rolled me over and got "rough" with me and needless to say....It was totally mind-blowing. I seen a side that I never have. I was totally totally satisfied after...But, now I want that all the time. I can't even think about it without getting excited. He even done things he has never done before....I mean I am totally shocked and pleased at the same time. The question is...do I do it to him everynight and save the "safe love" for other times? Help me?
