i didnt get any messages saying to update.
i tried to do it manually but it says i dont need to update.

I'm planing on buying a console, and the new 40Gb PS3 costs the same as an xbox 360 go pro bundle. So which one should I buy? I really want an xbox for games like Halo 3 and Forza2. But all the hardware failures seem scary. I know 4 people who have an xbox 360, and none of them have had any problems. But then when I check online reviews, there are thousands complaining about their problems. Of course it seems logical to see lots of people complaining about xbox 360, since over 12 million units have been sold, even at 1% hardware failure, there will be 120,000 people with problems, hence they will complain. But really, how bad are the hardware failures? Some say it's 3-5% others say it's as much as 33%. And have there been any improvements? It seems tempting to buy it, but obviously, I don't want to buy something that doesn't work. Also, can you download demos for free on PS3 like you can on xbox 360?

I've had Boostmobile for a while and it was great with their premium plan, but lately they have been having so many problems with their computers I spend more time time talking with customer service than friends and family.

I travel alot so I need to be able to use it almost anywhere in the U.S.
I don't talk alot and good deals with text messages would be a plus.
It can be prepaid or with a contract.

I went to gamestop at my local mall and the guy said PS3 is better than 360 as I always thought, so I got a deal on ebay (only 16, work pays minimum wage lol) and then when I went to another local gamestop the people working there told me PS3 is basically **** and only good if you have a 8000 dollar HDTV and that there are no good games for it, now or in the future and that the only good thing for it is bluray... but they did say some bullshit too like the new 40GB model being 250 when I know its 400 bucks... also this dude said he races his cars... I wanted to say to him "You have more than one car and you work at gamestop? bullshit!" But I controlled my impulse... well after reading my novel what say yee? ;)

Hi everyone. I'm in the market looking for a new HDTV to buy. I pretty much narrowed my choice to the Samsung 5054 because it has a lot of the anti-burn in technology that I feel I will be needing during my gaming sessions. However I did notice that the Samsung does not come with a Comb Filter, something its competitor (the Panasonic TH-50PX75U) has. The Panasonic has a Motion Adaptive 3D-Y/C Digital Comb Filter, just to let you know. My question is, how much will the lack of a comb filter affect me? Is it important and when is it important?

I just got an xbox 360 and i dont want to spend $100 dollars on the 360 wireless adapter. I often take my xbox 360 over to my friends houses and they have wireless internet. Is it easy to change wireless connections? if you could answer this soon it would be greatly apprieciated.

I'm not sure where to post this, but I recently unearthed a Kako Auto-240ST GN24 hotshoe flash from my dad's old camera equipment. I tried it out on my 400d and it worked on manual mode. I haven't really tinkered with the settings because I can't find the flash manual. Thing is, there's no information (even in google) about the actual voltage of the flash and I've read that canon only accepts up to 250v max sync voltage. By any chance, does anyone know anything about Kako flash models? Thanks a lot.

We have digital cable with DVR that we get through our city cable company. Wyandotte cable.

Anyways, after we came back from trick or treating last night, turned on the cable, it wasn't working. It was on channel 0 and wouldnt let us do anything else to it.

Its been 24 hours now and the customer service people are horrible and have not helped us yet.

We were able to go to the menu set up cable fx function and it said the following:

"a/b disabled mca not connected" whats that mean? please help. thanks in advance!

i bought the Xbox 360, and now i'm starting to regret it, with all the cool features the ps3 has like built in wi-fi, blu-ray, a web browser, and rechargeable controllers...accessories you have to buy separately with the 360...the ps3 def seemed like a better buy...esp when you hear all this talk about it's cell processor ( with its 8 or so cores ) i hear that performance wise it drawfs the 360...is this really true ? or just all assumptions ? no fanboys

I've had this camera now for a while, having gotten it as a graduation gift. I always thought it was just being a normal Digital Camera and being annoyingly difficult to operate, but my Room Mate here in college has a Cyber shot as well and it seems to work better. I think it may be my settings, or is it something else entirely?

The pictures are always blurry, isn't it supposed to be a SteadyShot camera? I was at a Halloween Costume Contest last night, I was sitting in my chair and I'd snap a picture of people as they walked by, but even for walking it was incredibly blurry and like I had had a seizure while taking it, the blurs weren't just where they were walking, it was even like, the head in front of me. I'm not that shaky when I take a picture. I tried it on every single setting it had and nothing would fix it.

The other problem I have with it is when I take video, it wont record the sound. Sometimes it's incredibly dim and you can hear it through static.
