I need to do the dishes... Laundry... Etc.... But with my Tivo there is ALWAYS something to watch... This is only for people with tivo or a DVR, here. You have to understand :D How do YOU break yourself away from hours of entertainment without the commercials?

You'll get over it. Actually, the next phase you'll go through is feeling guilty that you don't watch everything that's being recorded before things end up being deleted to make room for more. ;-)

Just remember, the whole point of Tivo is that the shows will still be there when you want to watch them on YOUR time. So spend an hour doing dishes and laundry. Then you can go back to Tivo.

I never realized how many commercials were in a program until I got a Tivo. If anything, I was watching "more" TV, but in less time because you could blow past commercials.

You are not alone. Of all my home theater equipment, the only device my Wife brags about is the DVR.

She is so bad. We had a HDTV for months but we could not upgrade until it came with a box that could record.

We will never be without this.

i'm not sure what the question is but i'm kinda' addicted to my tivo. in fact, i can't see life without it. miss something? no problem! i'm intrupted from nuthin'. pause anytime i want. cool, eh? you bet! i wish there was something like that for my car radio. i can record two shows and watch a third (any time i want!). who's the boss? me, baby, me! and, p.s.: the cost is worth it!
