I have a nikon D40 camera and, well, christmas is coming up. I want to ask for a new lense, but I honestly don't even know where to start. I either want a lense that has a really good zoom (I take sports pictures for my high school), or a wide-angle view lense. The guy at Creve Cour Camera said that a D40 doesn't fit all lenses, so I have no clue what to look for. Also, I really doubt that my 'rents will spend any more than $700, so (obviously) I need a really cheap one. Any suggestions and/or places to look at?

Can you have Sims2 nightlife installed then install Sims2 pets and have them bolth like run together so you can do everything from both expansions?

i might be getting an iphone for christmas. i heard that verizon is doing this thing now where after youve been with them so long, the termination fee isnt 175 anymore. does anyone know how much it is if youve been with them a year and you have a two year contract?

trouble.

-I need a GPS that does commercial routes (if possible; no restricted roads, height restrictions, etc.)
-Where it doesn't lose signal inside the metal cab (like the EZ-Pass does)
-Where I can easily hit ONE button to indicate "I can't go that way"
-Something that doesn't go batty in NYC type areas or lose all signal in a valley

Any truckers that know what I need?

I USED to drive a 2005 Kenworth(less) 900, which didn't let much signal in. Now I don't know what I'll be driving.

I am considering buying a new computer. My old one is several years old and I want to upgrade to a newer faster one. I've been putting it off becuase I have over 5,000 songs in my itunes. I need to find out if there is an easy, fast, efficient way to transfer them all over to the new computer I get.

This is a newbie home theater config question.

This is what I have:

1. HDTV (1080p) - 2 HDMI (in), 1 HDMI (out)
2. Upconverting DVD player (1080i) - HDMI
3. Comcast HDTV digital DVR cable box .
4. PC with VGA graphic connector.
5. 6 speakers (front, rear, center + subwoofer)
6. Looking to buy a AV receiver (mine just cooked)

I am thinking of connecting DVR, DVD to TV with HDMI, PC to TV with VGA, sound from PC to TV via analog cables, then export the sound to receiver with an optical wire.

Question:
All the new AV receivers has upconverting capabilities, and multiple HDMIs. It seens that it is more 'fashionable' to connect everything to the AV receiver then just single HDMI to your HDTV.

What is the difference between my scenario and the everything to AV receiver then single HDMI to TV?

What are the pros and cons?

ok i bought a power converter to convert my pal ps3 220v to 110v...it turned on for a while but it will turn oiff again after few seconds...
does anybody know how can i fix it
the power converter that i bought said it can handle 100 wats...50-60 htz
