Sony removed it from production, because demand was poor. Sony sold those consoles (as well as 60GB) cheaper, than actual production cost. That's why there is no 20GB, 60GB is going to be history too, because Sony shifted it's production on 40GB and 80GB consoles. Although you can try www.ebay.com or small independent gaming stores.

Well, the original 20GB configuration is no longer being manufactured by Sony. If you really want one, you'll probably have to go through Ebay.

Sony recentally introduced a 40GB PS3, but this contains significant hardware changes from the original 20GB PS3 - mainly in the area of PS2 backwards compatibility.

Seeing as how Sony is really trying to push the price of the PS3 down, they very well could come out with another 20GB PS3, but be aware that it will be similar to the 40GB PS3 in that it will not be able to play PS2 games. At all.

No, the PS3 will have a 40 gb version for $400. So really, that's even better. The two versions Sony will be making are the 40 gb (comes with Spiderman 3 blu-ray at launch) and the 80 gb system. However, if you care, the 40 gb version lacks backwards compatibility.
