Why does my iPod eject automatically? How can i stop it from doing so?

When i connect my iPod, it syncs and ejects automatically and i can't seem to do anything about it. Now i want to sync some videos but because previously i had used Sync selected videos only, i can't sync ANYTHING. Please help!

When you plug in your iPod, when the page comes up press the button that says "Manually manage music and videos."

NOTE: Since you checked this, it means you will have to sync and eject your iPod manually every time before you can unplug it. All that means is, you press the "Sync" button and when it says it's done, you press the little button that's next to the iPod (where it says Devices, and ____'s iPod.)
