I have a 52" flat screen TV. I believe it's a plasma TV, but don't remember. My 1-year old nephew has been playing with the on-set buttons and hitting the screen. Now there's a permanent yellow band on the right hand side of the screen, and there's a blue and yellow shadow on all the images that come onto the TV, as if it were in 3-D. We've tried fixing it through the settings, but nothing seems to work. Is this fixable??

I understand that not all HD stations broadcast everything in HD, so my question is:

Why do SD shows on HD channels look better than SD shows on SD channels? They are both in SD, so why does one look better?

Okay so i have a 15 in widescreen HD LCD tv and i love it except every once in a while it will say program blocked and the whole screen will turn blue but just for a few seconds then it will go away. It's fine other than that and i was just wondering if anyone knew why. Please don't say maybe the program is blocked because i know its not and my dad doesnt know either so that could not be the case.

We bought a new Samsung 46" lcd tv for Christmas, and I knew that the SD picture wouldn't be very good, so I called and had Dish upgrade me to the HD receiver and dish. When it was all hooked up, both the tech and I were very disappointed with the HD picture. If the picture was still, it looked OK, but if there was movement (like a football game), there was so much pixeling around whatever was moving that it looked like a SD signal. If you turn on the preview guide, the small preview screen looks great, but awful if you go to full screen. Signal strength is good, and we tried two different HD receivers, but no better picture. Is there a setting on the TV that I'm missing somewhere, or is there something wrong with the TV itself?

What is the diifference between HD and digital ?

I own 2 newer tv sets one is HD/DTV the other is regular.

Why can I not get a good signal w/ the HD set ?

Don't you think they ought to be able to produce a good clear HD signal before the conversion is implemented ?????

I've been told that hooking up my XBOX360 to my 27 inch Panasonic HD LCD TV could potentially mess up the TV. Is this true and how does it mess up?

we just got a new wii, but i don't know how to change the tv input so we can use it. we've never had a playstation, or xbox like device so simple it down. haha. thanks.

i turn on the tv, the vcr and the wii and a blue screen shows up, in the background i can see my wii screen, but it's hardly visible, being all blue and moving. the tv is plugged into the vcr, and it works if we put a movie in, the wii is plugged into the vcr, and it turns on fine.

help!

If I run a line of cable from a splitter and connect to the TV in our bedroom, do I need a separate box to watch a different channel than what's on in the living room? I have the line and the splitter, but don't want to waste my time if I can't choose a different channel.

I don't really play video games or watch movies at home. I just watch recorded shows from my DVR when I have time. My cable provider only offers around 20 HD channels, and from what I understand all HD programs right now are being broadcast in only 720p. So that would make the logical and money saving decision a good brand 720 LCD. Is there any reason aside from PS3 or 360 or Blu Ray that would be worth getting a 1080 resolution tv?

I am trying to decide between a Samsung 37" and Sony Bravia M series 37". The only major difference is that the Samsung has a 5000:1 contrast ratio comapred to the Sony's 1500:1. However I've read that Samsung tests the TV's differently to come up with that number. Any help would be appreciated.
