I read alot about this top or the range hdmi cables ,i just want to know before i buy one if you can acually SEE a difference from say the medium priced cable ive got now about 20 quids worth,you see i keep reading about these gas injected ,copper ,shielded and so on ,the reason i ask is in the past ive bought these so called superior scart leads and cant SEE no difference in picture quality,now i am looking at a 80 quid hdmi cable am i garanteed a better picture or is it all hype,if anyones bought a top class hdmi cable and SEEN a difference please let me know the cable thanks for reading.

Yea,I've heard that it's the photographer 7 not the camera-but I'm interested to know what y'all think.For a beginner.I read a lot of stuff online,but personally I want to get into photography without having to deal with the tedious specifics (and you KNOW how unbearably tedious it can get),so I'm down to Canon EOS 400D & Nikon D80-once considered the new Canon 40d but the price is just unbelievable.So tell me what you think,share what you know-I'm looking for an entry-level DSLR that's rich in functions & can take good pics.

What would give the best quality results to convert 35mm negatives to digital.
Time wouldn't be a problem as not that many would need to be done and I would like to do it myself rather than give it to someone else. The cost involved would not be a major factor to be considered.
I have the prints for the negatives but a lot are not printed on good quality gloss paper.

Recently, two of our V-Tech home phones in the computer room indicate (on the digital screen thingy) that there's no line even though everything is plugged in. Sometimes, the little "in use" light would blink even though no one's talking on the phone.

I tried hanging up, taking out and re-inserting the phone line, checking all the plug-ins but to no avail. The two phones are on the same phone line.

Other phones on the same phone line work great (one in the master bedroom, two in the living room, and one in the kitchen). If someone calls us, I'd have to get up and get it in the master bedroom or downstairs. The phones in the living room are V-Tech; the rest are not. The separate phone/fax line works fine.

Could it be a problem with the phone company, our phones, the wiring, or both?

what are the pros and cons of buying this lens regarding anything you can think of such as low light, weight, blurriness of images, tripod use, what the lens is primarily used for and what photos it is bad for taking.

Is it worth it to spend the extra 500-600 for the f/4 IS??

I have a Canon Rebel XTi.

I've had no problems with other lenses, however, the lens I'm using now wont take clear pictures unless I get really close to the item/person. I tried out this same lens in the store with a test camera and it didn't do that, am I doing something wrong?

It's the Canon EFS 18-55mm lens.

I need to replace the needle on my old record player. The record player is a Hitachi HT-L303 and the cartridge is Hitachi MT-12. The cartridge is fine, only the needle needs replacing. I wanna get it in store in Edmonton.

I retired in Thailand ,took back with me is LCD Sony tv [NTSC] which I connected to a cable box [PAL]from TRUE in Thailand. I got the poor picture with no color . I contacted SONY who sent tech to check out and told me to buy a costly converter box. Since I want to buy PAL dvd player in Thailand to view Thai dvd I wonder if I buy the dvd recorder with pal tuner and then I a/v connect cable from cable box to dvd recorder then from recorder to my tv, will it work?
