a solid used digicam is oftentimes solid purchase for novices. Many digicam shops sell such cameras at respectable costs. a solid element-and-shoot digital digicam will take solid macro photos for in common terms $3 hundred. I actual have a Canon PowerShot A590 that does dazzling close-united statesof bugs. That digicam is now 2 years previous and so common (because of the 8MP) that the fee of the kind has long previous up $2 hundred! you additionally can save around for a used 6MP digicam like the older Canon EOS digital insurrection. yet do no longer skimp on a solid lens. I actual have a Canon 30D and have a 60mm macro lens it extremely is a superb addition to my series. regardless of if, macro lenses are no longer much less costly, even the "much less costly" ones. My macro lens fee me over $3 hundred regardless of if it extremely is nicely worth it. i'm for sure a Canon fan yet Nikon and Sony make solid fashions, too. i'm in common terms into Canon because of the fact this way i will interchange lenses between my DSLRs and some of the bells and whistles are common. this way any new cameras would be "physique in common terms."

IMO the Pentax K100D Super is your best choice. It has Image Stabilization in the camera body so if you use older, manual focus lenses you'll still have IS.

The K10D has 10mp but packed into the same size sensor. Go to shutterbug.com and do a Search for "pixel packing". Although not a "scientific" test per se, and its comparing digicams to DSLR's, it is still worth reading. Its doubtful you would be able to see the difference between 6.1mp (K100D Super) and 10mp (K10D) at 8x10 or even 11x14.

Get the Pentax K10D. It's the most versatile DSLR, old Pentax lenses can be use with this new generation Pentax.
I got one and I love it. But then again I'm a Pentaxian.
K10D is definitely cheaper than other brands.
