The price is right but does anyone know what the length of time they can record something? I wanted to record for longer then ten minutes. Where can I buy a reasonably priced camcorder? Thanks everyone for your answers and God Bless.

Dont you even waste your time there. Be a respectable man and go down the street to buy one from circuit city/wal-mart. Last thing you want to do is to get a camera from there with flowers all over it, and when you put in the Dora memory stick your computer floods with Dora the Explorer video game offers. Have some dignity. :D

I've had a look at Toys R Us sites for both the USA and UK. The camcorders offered for sale in the UK are ok - not the best, but would be serviceable. There are far more on the USA site - some are little more than toys, some a bit better. The site gives full details of each camera so you can check out things like the length of recording time. I would go for one which uses tape, rather than memory cards, if possible. Don't get one that offers a digital zoom only. But remember, in camcorders as in most things, you get what you pay for.

The best one out there is the Vue Point dv-da1-vp at $160.

Understand none of these will directly edit in Windows Movie Maker and they all use MP4 formats and only paid software supports that.
