I am just wondering if the difference in picture is worth it on a 26 inch hdtv. I really want to upgrade but am not sure. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

Unless the price is worth it the picture isnt.
Dont spend the money if you dont have to.

With an hd or blueray player you will be able to take advantage of the capabilities that the lcdtv was designed for. You get twice as many lines of resolution in the high definition format and you will see a sharp crystal clear picture. Be sure to use the correct inputs in the tv for high definition or you will not get these results. I say go for it! Everything is going high def, just be sure to get a player that can do both formats.

many all human beings is in simple terms fascinated in looking at a movie or television instruct with a solid plot. Others take excitement in each and every little thing approximately movie making-the colour, the sound, the particular outcomes, our surroundings etc, etc. that's what makes the version. i'm between the latter. there are a number of movies I hated until I observed them in Blu-Ray. the 2d greatest fee in my existence has in no way been a motor vehicle yet has continually been my abode theatre-cinematography has continually been that significant to me. Getting an identical element....! tale line, confident; the entire movie journey diffinitely no. no longer until you have HD DVD or Blu Ray.

Hey me too!, No Its not worth it cuz I'm pretty sure your only 720p and so in a few months, a year everythings gonna be 1080p and then ur tv wont really be HD, so wait a year r two and you'll be able to get a decent sized tv and a hd-dvd or blue ray for probly les than $1500. But what I do reccomend is getting a PS3, its got blueray plus you get to game all night!

Your TV will not be a 1080p or 1080i so it is not worth investing. If you where to upgrade your TV to a 1080 then I would advise a PS3 as it has a Blu-ray player and is cheaper then the players themselves.

I probably wouldn't. You would notice a difference, but unless you plan on getting a larger tv, I wouldn't spend $250-$500 on a HD or Blue ray player...

I got a 46" LCD, and haven't bought one yet.

no, it's totally not worth it.

you need like a 1080p tv to take full advantage of hd dvd or blue ray.

a least a 32in because alot of these hd dvd or blue ray still displays at 720p/1080i

If you want a good blu-ray player, just buy a ps3, it is probably the cheapest one of them you can get. And you can game on it. If I were you, I would stick with the blu-ray just because of the ps3
