We have digital cable with DVR that we get through our city cable company. Wyandotte cable.

Anyways, after we came back from trick or treating last night, turned on the cable, it wasn't working. It was on channel 0 and wouldnt let us do anything else to it.

Its been 24 hours now and the customer service people are horrible and have not helped us yet.

We were able to go to the menu set up cable fx function and it said the following:

"a/b disabled mca not connected" whats that mean? please help. thanks in advance!

Try typing the exact message you are getting into your search engine with quotes around it. This helped me when I was getting strange message on my DVR.

Pull the power cord and leave the box un-powered for a few minutes. Make sure the CATV coax is securely attached and plug it back in. Wait a few minutes, then turn on the TV and see what is going on.

The other thing to try:

Remove the CATV coax and plug it directly into your TV. Do you get channels like 3,4,5? If not - something went bad with the CATV coax/service to your house.

If you get stations with the straight coax, but he DVR box is still broken, you need to get a service guy out or see if you can take the box to the local CATV office to swap it out.
