I'm still weary of buying a high def movie player. I will be until I know which one has firmly won. Do you think HD DVD has won yet. Too bad if it has, I was kinda rooting for Blu-Ray

The war isn't over yet...

A HD-DVD player might cost $98.97 for you.... but we don't have any HD-DVD players in this part of the world.

We only have Blu-ray players.

First, it is a special for only ONE day, but it is a hell of a price.

Second this HD DVD model (HD-A2) can only output up to 720p NOT 1080p - so BD is still better, but not by much.

The HD DVD folks still need a lot of players to catch up with 3 million PS3s, so it seems they are getting desparate...
Certainly beats buying an upconverting player.
