That system is no good at all.

When you see "Powerful NNNN watt speakers" run.

Most of the time the receiver is putting out 3-10 watts per speaker with a max of 80-100 watts for a few seconds on loud scenes. (This is for real systems, not poorly made systems.)

That system might put out 3,000 watts for an instant if every speaker wire was shorted. But the unit would burst into flames and your house would burn down.

There are lots of ways to lie about how much power a receiver can put out. To avoid being ripped off, stick with name brands like Yamaha, Onkyo, Dennon. You can also get some good stuff from Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer and HarmonKardon - but these are 'wanna bees' and they have a mix of great receivers, and a lot of lower-end WallMart units.

For a lap precise or computing device you prefer a 5.a million sound card put in in the computing device to get 5.a million embody; in case you employ a house Theater you are able to purely get stereo as you will purely be outputting a stereo sign some speaker platforms have a geared up-in decoder which will supply a pseudo embody experience yet some do no longer so in case you feed it a stereo sign it somewhat is all you get out on the different end....

its the amplifers that determine the power rating of a sound system. if you have a 10watt amp its a 10watt system no matter what speakers you hook up to it.

when comparing power of an amp be aware of the difference between peak power and RMS power.

for example peak power of that system you are looking at it is 3000watts but its only really 90 watts RMS@10% THD, (total harmonic distortion)
