My PC has been found to have tracking cookies, what are they and have they been planted by nosey hackers who are trying to go through my stuff?

I have the yahoo toolbar with the pop up enabled and it is also on on my other tools and that is on also! I have spybot, norton, and adaware too, but every few minutes I have hollywood.com, 24hourautoloan.com,3bsoftwarepromo.com (that is telling me I need to scan and clean my registry) and alot of others is there anything I can do I have the internet 7 downloaded and I believe it is the latest but the pop up blocker on the yahoo just says 413 blocked but that was the same 5 days ago but it is on! Is some one hijacking my pc- I run all the checks 2-3 times a week! Please help me and let me know of anything I can do also have limewire pro installed!?

My friend asked me for help with her computer. It has a Trojan.Peacomm, all her live antivirus protection is expired, I can't get on the Internet to download anything, and I am at a loss as to how to help her - any ideas??

We do have a virus on the computer now - the message window states that a "spyware virus has been detected". This virus has changed the desktop background, but that's all I've noticed. Our computer is used mostly for internet surfing, some e-mailing and IM-ing. We do not do on-line banking.

i have spy bot- search and destroy but i dont think its doing the job.. i have downloaded sample spyware removers and they find way more than spybot, but they want me to buy the sotware before they remove them

LAST NIGHT WHILE ON THE COMPUTER 2 LITTLE RED CIRCLES WITH Xs IN THE CAME ON THE BOTTOM OF MY SCREEN IN SAID MY COMPUTER WAS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE AND I AM IN DANGER OF HAVING PRIVATE INFO STOLEN, THEN THIS PESTTRAP PAGE CAME UP, WELL I DOWNLOADED WINDOWS LIVE ONE CARE AND I GUESS IT SCANNED MY COMPUTER AND THOSE LITTLE RED Xs ARE GONE AND SO IS THAT PEST TRAP THING,, AM I SAFE NOW?? After keeping my computer updated every now and then , I realise that Windows updates , the old and the new ones is being stored in the Add/remove programs section therefore taking up space. Is it recommended to remove the very old updates , ones that I have in early 2005 and 2006? Or should I keep them all the way?

I have delted norton anti virus and had again installed.my programs are working fine.yet this icon tell that there are toooo many spy wares in my p.c it asks to click on it so as get rid of all and install a new anti virus , it also opens a tab in mozilla fire fox.with all the advertisement from "http://www.spydawn.com/?aff=334.i have scanned full.no problem is reported.I want to get rid of this flashing icon as well as the spydawn web page from my p.c pl.HELP!

plz tell me the BEST anti spyware/virus dowload i can get for free....before this pc ends up in the front garden...through the window!!! Its really slow, and I am getting loads of pop ups all of a sudden!!!
