You can download free versions of anti-spyware programs. One is called "AdAware", the other is called "spybot search and destroy". Both will scan your PC for spyware, and get rid of them. Do a search for those names, and you should find them. Once you install them, be sure you download any updates.
However, once you finish all of that, you still have to run them once in awhile in order for them to find any spyware. I'd recommend at least once a week - more often if you're online more often.
Oh, and don't type in all capital letters - that's considered the online equivalent of SHOUTING.

You are not a computer MORON. Dealing with malware infection take additional learning.
The Pest Trap infection you have is caused by a Smitfraud Trojan. Smitfrauds require specialized programs for removal. These two sites have free programs and procedures to remove it. You are a Marine, so I know you can follow the instructions.

Now that the infection is off your computer, I recommend the reading of this site. It is a great education in Malware and other methods to protect your computer.

(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .
(4) Get a good firewall if you do not have one .IF you have mcafee or norton firewall you can ignore this step.

Moron? No! Beginner, maybe. Okay?
Here's what I suggest. If you're not sure about whether your computer's still infected, go to http://www.mbusbyuk.info/links.html and scroll down the page until you come to the Free Online Scanners. Select the link to Panda ActiveScan. This is extremely thorough and will clean and disinfect your system if it contains any viruses or spyware.
Good Luck!

If you have Windows Operating Systems, there are 114,000 viruses looking for your computer, and one or more of them is bound to get you unless you are a security expert, or never go online. The only real permanent solution is to get kubuntu at www.kubuntu.org and get rid of Windows.
