Ok, this has been the day from hell. I purchased a used IBM Thinkpad. It has windows 98 installed on it. I purchased the wireless router by Linksys. It say's compatable with Windows 98 and the computer supports the other setting. I installed the software on my desktop with no problems. When I went to install on the laptop, it said that I must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer. So I tried to connect directly from my modem to the notebook, but I ran into a problem because the cable is smaller on the notebook. So I thought ok, I will save the newer version of Internet Explorer to my flash devise. I saved it from my PC. However, the notebook said it needed the installation software for the flash drive and unfortunately I no longer have it. So then I had a USB cable and connected that from the modem to the laptop. The laptop needed the installation software, so I downloaded the software from Comcast. After I restarted I got a message saying that the connection could not be
