Dont know,
By the way tell you jokes, and it goes:
>How I was born<
A little boy goes to his father and asks, "Daddy, will you tell me
how I was born?"
-The father debates answering, but finally says: "Well, I guess one day you will need to know anyway."
"Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. I set up a date via e-mail and we met at a cybercafe.
-We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. "But when I was ready to upload and she was ready to download, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall and it was too late to hit the delete or escape button.
-"So nine months later a blessed little pop-up appeared that read, 'You've Got Male!"
One more joke:
A guy calls his vet and says "What should I do with my cat?Vet says "What do you mean? Guy says "I had a leak in my lawnmowers gas tank and the cat drank the gas. Then the cat began to run around and around the yard, climbed a tree. then fell out of the tree stiff. Vet says "Is the cat dead? Guy replies "nope he ran out of gas.
I hope you will take this answer as a best answer

Windows 98 is horrible at doing wi-fi connections. To get it to work you have to plug in all those setting manually. Fortunately win 98 has a tool to do this. if you click on start, then run, type in "winipcfg" (without the quotes) then hit OK, you'll see an app pop up. there will be a thing in the middle where you can choose your network adapter, choose your wifi card. then hit the "renew" button down on the bottom. close this out and your wifi connection should now be running perfectly. You have to do this with windows 98 because it does not acquire this information automatically like windows xp does. You need to run this winipcfg thing every time you connect to a new hotspot, so I would make a shortcut to it.

Proxy settings are needed if you are running behind a proxy server... if you are a home user you wouldn't need them..
But here is where you check them :
If you see this message, check your proxy settings: From the Start menu select Settings ..., click Control Panel, double-click Internet Options, select the Connections tab, and press the LAN Settings... button.
If you don't know what the correct settings should be, check with your IT or system administrator

a Proxy is like a central system that determines who is allowed to use that network (so it make sense that in order to use the network, you'd need to know the proxy settings).
If the network does have proxy in use, and you are the legitimate user, you should be able to ask the tech guys for the settings.
it varies, depending on what network you are referring to.
