A file was deleted by the wife on our laptop computer Satelight Tosihba Windows XP (Yr 2000 model) and the computer shut down. It will now start up, by after you try to get to the screen, a message displays on a box screen Explorer.Exe"it can not open system because it can not find normalize.dll . We can not find the recovery disc. What can we do and will we lose all our documents on the computer?

My laptop had a virus so I brought it to my school college campus which they fix your computer for free. Itz been a wk and 1/2 and they finally returned it to me but not fixed b/c they said my computer cracked @ the hinges @ the display on the back & they completely destroy my computer!The power won't even turned on anymore. I talked to the manager &director & they said it's not their fault b/c while the hinges were broken, ---opening and close it made it worse everytime & the wires attached probably disconnected so that caused a hardware failure. I know it's only my fault at the minor crack and broken part but it was only on 1 side that was cracked..since i turn it to them, they made the other side cracked & broken completely. They said they only fix the software and external parts- not into the hardware. They completely destroy my pc! It was working and all it was a minor virus that came to fix for and they didnt fix but broke it! wat would u do if ur in my case. go talk 2 the head?

Hi every body I have a dual core acer laptop and has 1.5Ghz ram and 1.66Mhz processor but has no 3d card and I wanna install a 3D card so that i can install games ,as I know that laptops don't have PCI slots and there VGA is shared by the ram so how can I run 3D on it plz help

When I click start,then right click My Computer,then click properties,which brings up System Properties.Under the General tab identifies System:., Registered to:.then Computer:.Well under Computer it reads:Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1700MHz 1.69GHz,640 MB of RAM. So at any time should the 1.69GHz change?My settings are at: best performance and I am always plugged in as opposed to battery power.Shouldn't the processor always be at 1.69GHz and not “clock down” at all,unless I was using battery power?Yesterday I noticed it at 892MHz,then after a re-boot it went to 592MHz and then I called Dell.Dell had me restart holding the Fn key and check the drivers for errors.Then they had me go to "run" and enter the following:“sfc /scannow"(without the quotations).They said that I should do a re-install because this is the best way to see if there are any issues.I'm wondering if the processor is faulty;does a processor do this before it quits completely?The computer seems to slow "under load".

I have a fast broadband internet connection but because my pc is old I get stuttering video when I watch any streaming video on sites like youtube
So I wanna get a new notebook and I would like to know what specs to look for?

My Laptop computer loses an hour whenever I unplug it from power. It is not instantaneous though, the clock changes after I boot it up again after turning it off. I have found that it happens mostly whenever I let it run out of battery, but the details of it still elude me.

What I find most interesting is that it always loses exactly one hour. This began happenning shortly after I bought it so I don't think it is due to any program I have. Any ideas?

i've had a hp running windows xp for about a year now and im tired of carrying the heavy thing around school. i want to get a new smaller (lighter) laptop. i was convinced in buying a macbook hearing great things about apple. ive been getting fed up with all the threats norton keeps telling me about that i can't seem to get rid of and other stuff that is swaying me away from windows. with vista out now, it looks pretty good but i still like the mac. anything i should consider before making a purchase?
