You can do this in your Bios. Just hit delete or F2 while booting up and go into your system settings and disable the Fan.

the best way to do this, without opening up your laptop, is to lure a long strand of floss(or any other strong string) into the fan's vent. The fan will eventually suck in the floss and coil it around securely. then just tie the end of the floss you are holding to something sturdy. I did this and it worked. Whether or not it damages the computer I dont know. Shortly after, I contracted a virus on the internet that melted my laptop's insides. good luck!

first off- DONT think that disabling the fan will fix alot of issues, in fact it is what keeps the processor and other parts from burning a whole in your laptop.
but sometimes (depending on the laptop) you can adjust power settings including fan speed- just go to power option or battery options in the control panel and peek around, however like i said this is mostly for some laptop (sony does this alot)

Its running to exhaust the heat created by the processor and other components inside of it. If you turn it off you run a higher chance of damaging the processor or other internal components due to heat.

OH, I don't think you want to do that man. The CPU in your laptop will burn up faster than a marshmallow over a campfire if it isn't kept cool all of the time. ;-)
