It's a Compaq 7790DMT, with an Intel MMX cpu. I want to install XP on there, but I don't know which button opens the computer's BIOS screen when booting up. Also, the cd-rom does not read the XP install disc, when I reset the power button. Can somebody tell me how to correct the problem, best answer get my 10 points !!!!

when i get out of school im plan to work in freelance illustration. my dell is crap and i want to get a new one because this one always gets virus no matter how many anti virus programs i have and is sluggish it wont play photoshop, illustrator or even youtube without it freaking out . i dont know if i should switch to mac or stay with a pc. i want lots of storage and ram but i dont want to pay more than 1500-2000 for one. suggestions? what do u think of sonys?

The HP dv6150us and the HP dv6040us. How much difference in processing speed and quality is there between these two models? One is a lot cheaper and if there isn't a big difference, I'm going to go with the cheaper one. Thanks!

A friend suggested letting it drain completely before recharging it and unplugging it immediately when it is fully recharged. Another says that turning it on and off frequently in a day shortens the battery life. Are these true? Do you have other suggestions?

i have a dell inspirion 1200
and it came with dvd and cd-rom and so i can copy and burn cds.
but i think i deleted the drive becuase i tried to burn a cd and i used to do it before but when i insert a cd it doesn't read it and this little pop appears saying i need a cd drive what the hell do i do if i deleted the drive file would i have to reinstall the windows xp software.?

I'm a student going to college and I mostly use Windows office programs like Excel, Powerpoint and Word. However, I've been looking at the Macbook and to be honest I wanted to buy one the same day I saw it. It's just so cool and versatile. I don't like big screens and that 13.3" screen on macs are awesome. I also like how it's a white finish and it just looks clean and modern.

I'm trying to decide if I want to get a macbook or a Sony N series, please I'd appreciate any info about these two or if you've used one of these before. Does the GHz make a big diffence because I'm looking at buy a 1.63 or a 1.73. . . does it make that much difference, Thank you.
