I have an IBM thinkpad T42 that I purchased in the US. When I moved to the UK, I simply attach a converter and plug into UK outlets. After a few weeks, my battery performance seems to have dramatically gone down. Should I purchase a UK adaptor rather than use my US adapter/converter combo (or is this a different problem altogether)?

if i bring in my laptop to the computer shop and tell them what the problem is with my laptop do i have to buy the parts needed for the laptop to be repaired or they will take care of that and i will just pay them for the whole thing i mean let's say after the laptop is fixed i would just pay them a certain fee which includes the parts and the service?

I have an older laptop. It is a Dell Inspiron 1150. For some reason I hear a strange yet somewhat faint high-pitched noise in the system. It gets really loud sometimes. Although, when ever I am scrolling the noise stops, and right when I stop scrolling it starts up again. It is driving me crazy, do you know if this is normal and what causes that noise?

I have an Inspiron b130 and I broke th letter "N" the top came off but the springy-thing is still there.
But the number seven is completely gone and only the rubber part is left.
Know anywhere I can just purchase those missing buttons and not have to replace the whole keyboard.THanks

when i checked in the system details i realised that it had only 192mb. moreover when i tried to play Age of Empires III the game also showed that it had detected only 192. i called up the tech people they said that 64 mb was with the display card. so my q is that even if it is that 64 is with the card shouldnt it show overall that it has 256mb.
