I have Dell Inspiron 8200 and it it not starting up at all. I tried with both AC Adaptor and Battery, but in vain. What could be the problem?

Dell computers are total crap. I've gone through several. You get what you pay for. THE PROBLEM IS ITS A DELL!

That's a total blackout of the CPU. Or a possibly busted power supply. I suggest that you take it to an authorized Dell service center and have them take a look. If it is still under warranty, they should be handling it at no additional cost for you.

Call Dell. I believe I heard on the news again that they are recalling millions of laptops because of a faulty battery.

Problem could also be that the boot sector of your harddrive has been corrupted. As said, call DELL.
