some of the keys are stuck and we wondered if anyone had any tips on how we can get them to work again also is it possible to get a new key pad and fit it if need be . Thanks in advance for any help. regards Mick

you can take out the keys(they pop out) :) and clean them and put them back, also you can take your laptop apart and clean everything inside, but it all would depend on how much was spilled,
I guess the laptop was on when that happened and it didn't turn off or anything,(maybe it didn't even get inside)

If you have a good paid up maintenance contract and insurance for the laptop / notebook it will be covered and you can return it to where it was purchased from to be repaired or replaced. Otherwise it will still need to be repaired by a qualified computer engineer and may be costly. You will have to check with the supplier. I think that both Dixons and PC World deal with Packard Bell and can help here.

The keyboard needs to be replaced. This is not a DIY job if you're not a computer tech. Time for a visit to the repair shop. It's very possible that some of the liquid got into the inner workings as well. This needs to be inspected and repaired by a qualified technician.
