OK that's new I do not remember if I have seen this before but I think I have when I was doing some of the things below.

Here is a question I have to help me help you.
1.OK humm?? Have you been messing around with multiple desktops or been trying to view your PC on the T.V? or Change the video card or video settings?

Please post some details about my question.

Question 2
2.Dam Perhaps your problem is wininet.dll maybe its missing or corrupted. I do not know much about wininet.dll what operating system are you using?

Note: You might need to reformat or take it to a PC shop or get someone you know that is good at fixing these things. Don't jump the gun yet your smart to ask us before doing anything I just mentioned. If you can I would try to backup my most important stuff if I could.

I have accidental got my computer to act like this a number of times but each time was diffident. I think each time I managed to fix the problem. ALSO DID YOU TRY TO UPDATE,CHANGE, or ROLLBACK ANY DRIVERS??? That could end up doing this for sure.

Assuming your using windows..

1. Shut down
2. In the start up process repeatedly press F1
3. In the menu choose "Safe Mode"
4. Now from here in Safe Mode right click on the desktop and click arrange icons by... then show desktop icons

If you are using linux/mac I can't help you sorry

cl Start
cl Programs

Locate the program for which you want a shortcut on the desktop.
Right-click on the icon.
You should get a sub-menu with the option to "create shortcut."
cl that option.

Sometimes the shortcut will appear on the bottom of the list -- just cut, then paste to the desktop.

Sometimes you get a window that says "do you want the shortcut on the desktop" -- in which case you would cl Yes.
