I have a dell inspiron 1200 laptop computer. My restart disk are in another state. Is there a way to restore my computer without them? Also when i download games from the internet and actually install them and play them..the screen flickers black alot of the time, what is that caused by? Also when i first got the computer it used to have a log in user screen..now its completly gone and when i try to set it back up it says its missing the .exe for it. Can someone please guide me on how to restore my computer..or where i can get some new restart disk.

The only way is to call dell 1-800-WWW-DELL and order the restore disks. They will charge for the disks.
This computer only comes with 256MB of memory you will need more memory to play games, you should have at least 512MB of memory but if like to play games I would recommend at least 768MB-1GB of memory.
For the login screen it seems like windows needs to be reinstalled, personally I reinstall windows every 3-6 months.

To reformat your computer, you will need an XP installation CD. If you dont have yours, but know your serial number, you could borrow someone elses disc.
Screen flickering may be a sign that your laptops graphics card is not supported by the game, or is not capable of fulfilling the demands the game places on it.

If you have windows xp go to start menu then go to all programs then from there go to accessories once there go to system tools and click on system restore, once your inside system restore you can restore your laptop to a later date that you remembered your laptop was runninig fine. hope this helps.
