Sometimes when i restart up the laptop it goes directly back into hibernation mode. After this happens the hibernate option is checked again, even though I didn't check it.

Check the power settings in the BIOS.
They may override the Windows settings.

Your setting might be set to a couple of minutes, go into desktop properties, then to screensaver.. and then to power option and see what its set to.. you may need to change it to be half an hour or a longer period of time. :) hope that solves your problem

sounds like a problem with the power management software/drivers on the laptop ... u could try uninstalling it if u know what it is ...and reload it from ur recover disk along with whatever driver it uses ...

It may not be recharging. I just had to have mine serviced - the powercord had a broken wire and the battery was not recharging.

ok sorry for my other answer..dont cry..lol..ok um.when your computer was made it had its original operating system..and knows how to work...windows is kind of like second type of Operating system so changes you make on windows might not necessarly change your computers original settings..hope i helped
