when i get out of school im plan to work in freelance illustration. my dell is crap and i want to get a new one because this one always gets virus no matter how many anti virus programs i have and is sluggish it wont play photoshop, illustrator or even youtube without it freaking out . i dont know if i should switch to mac or stay with a pc. i want lots of storage and ram but i dont want to pay more than 1500-2000 for one. suggestions? what do u think of sonys?

shop around for a sale. compare your hard drive, ram, and processor. look at a good graphics card in one. shoot 1500 - 2000 will get you a computer that will handle those programs and more probably at the same time.
toshiba. gateway (only because their tech support speaks english, kind of comes in handy) dell (but get a translator)
