I'm a student going to college and I mostly use Windows office programs like Excel, Powerpoint and Word. However, I've been looking at the Macbook and to be honest I wanted to buy one the same day I saw it. It's just so cool and versatile. I don't like big screens and that 13.3" screen on macs are awesome. I also like how it's a white finish and it just looks clean and modern.

I'm trying to decide if I want to get a macbook or a Sony N series, please I'd appreciate any info about these two or if you've used one of these before. Does the GHz make a big diffence because I'm looking at buy a 1.63 or a 1.73. . . does it make that much difference, Thank you.

Well, you can buy Office for Mac. You should check with your College to see what support they offer for Mac users and what compatibility problems you might have with college assignments. Since you are a college student check out http://www.apple.com/education to see if you can get an education discount. You can also ask you college bookstore or enrollment department fi they know of any studnt discounts on Apple or PC products. If you need software try www.selectstudent.com or www.journeyed.com.

Macbook does't support for MS office (windows OS used only), totallly a differrent type of OS.
All branded laptop got their own differrent specification and functionality, you should do a detail research before you buy it to make sure it suitable for your purpose.
The Ghz means the CPU clocks speed, greater surely faster. But currently there got single core & dual core, if you plan to doing multiple task work in laptop, then make sure you go for core duo.
HP & DELL were recommand.
