i have a microphone connected and it records sound if i do i live grab say on you tube or similar but not in the capture setting on the webcam program. it is a creative notebook pro

not all laptop computers have a microphone installed on them the webcam only captures your video....check to see if you have a mic installed if you don't just attach one and in the settings of you video capture be sure you have voice enabled too....good luck

with a microphone, laptop should have 2 already
