I have a Dell M140 and I upgraded to Windows Vista, but I can't take advantage of the 3D graphics because my integrated Intel graphics card can't handle it. Is it possible to upgrade my laptop's graphics card?

In a word, no. That's why Vista shouldn't be running on anything that has an integrated (especially Intel) graphics cards. That being said, Intel swears at least some of their chips support it so you might try getting the latest drivers (go to Control Panel > Windows Update) and see if it will find some for you. If not, head over to Intel and see if they have some. Other than new drivers, there isn't much you can do, except live without Aero Glass.

In order to use the Aero part of Windows Vista, you need a graphics card rather than integrated graphics. Upgrading on a laptop is difficult after you have bought it - Laptops are usually confined to a certain physical space limit, so asking for an upgrade on a particular brand isn't always feasable. My recommendation is that if you really want to use the Aero part of Vista, you should look into getting a desktop (cheaper and stronger than a laptop, just not portable) or a new laptop.

If you got this from Dell, you should be talking to them.
It's a shame the way all these companies are pushing this free upgrade, when the machines they are selling can't handle it.

you will ought to reinstall the drivers. circulate to the manufacturers website and acquire the pics card's drivers. the cyber web internet site will inform you what to do from there. Or, circulate to gadget supervisor and spot whether that's detected on there. if it is the case, click on the gadget and immediately replace the drivers from there.

yeah, you can. You can head over to a shop and by one or two (depending on your PC). I would probably just give your PC to a shop and let them upgrade it for you. They always figure out the best and latest one out for you.
