need to transfer files

Well, they're also called "flash" drives, and are basically a non-magnetic storage device in various byte sizes, and plug into an available USB port on your computer. Think of them as a replacement for CD's or floppies in keeping files or programs on hand. One thing, though...with Windows XP you won't need a driver to install....but, with Windows 98 you'll need to install a driver for the flash drive to be recognized on that older operating system.

Storing files and stuff, just put it into the USB and then you should be able to drag and drop into the drive
