I have a toshiba satellite laptop.. it is a perfect machine but the problem is that its screen has become loose.. it does not stay at a single position... how should i fix it up.

Try to tighten the screws. You can get access to the screws if you remove the LCD screen mask from the display assembly. There is a display disassembly guide for Toshiba Tecra 8100 at http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ ... it should work for yours.. Be careful when you removing the screen mask, it’s very fragile and can be easily broken. You can skip steps 5 and 6 showing how to remove the FL inverter board. On the step 6 you can see 2 screws securing the hinges. When you remove the screen mask, you also get a clear view on the hinges and you can check if they are broken.

Look on google. When I had a Toshiba problem I found a site that showed how to take apart a Toshiba laptop for screen repairs. In my case I had a crack in the screen which was unfixable but while on the site I learned all about disassembly. It is not difficult to get to those mecanical innards once you know where the screws are located (and their photos show you that).

ummm , laptops .all the same 1 fall there gone for it . have you made a call to toshiba?
do you still have some cover on the laptop if so call the , Technical Support
