i ahve a 550mHz pentium celeron with a 10.2 gig hard drive added, but recently i tried to add a secondary hard drive 120Gig, i went to BIOS and checked if it was being detected by it; it was adn it was as AUTO. so when i run my OS the XP doesnt recognize the secondary Hard drive.. i mean like it doesnt show up on My Computer,so what is wrong? is there any way of finding out if one is formatted in a different way? like i know my primary is set as NTFS. but is there a way of finding out if the other hard drive is set as FAT, if it is can i change it?

By the way they are both IDE

I have a 250gb hard drive and i want to get another hard drive and set it as a slave. I will put my files, videos, music etc on my new one and leave the OS and programs installed on my current one. But lets say I want a folder on the desktop called 'Videos' If it drag it from my new hard drive will the desktop folder be on my new or current hard drive? Or will I need to create a shortcut instead of the actual folder on the desktop.

Thank you

I just bought a new copy of the SEGA RALLY REVO game and it doesnt work on my computer. My computer is a core2duo 1.8 Ghz with 1GB of RAM and an INtel D945GCL motherboard. So technically it meets the minimum requirements. Also does the on board graphics of the above mentioned board support the pixel shading feature ? If it doesn't is there anyway how it can be installed(i.e any software or driver updates) . Thanks in advance .

I just started writing a paper on my school's dell PC, i saved it to a flash drive thing but when i plug it into my mac, it comes up as a docx instead of jus a word doc. then when i try to open it, it jus gives me a bunch of crazy codes. I have Transfered info from my mac to the pc back to my mac, before. Does it only work because i initially saved it on my mac b4 i saved on the pc. If i create a doc on my mac first will it work on both the pc and the mac? And if i create a doc on the pc first will it not work on my mac but work on the pc? Is this whats happening? Im not a computer genius, im jus guessing here.

Hey guys,
CPU-Z, Everest and any other computer-analyzing program read that my OCZ DDR2-6400 800MHZ CL4 Platinum rev 2.2
is actually running at cl5? (is that possible?) is the reading misinterpreted ? I checked the bios, it says CL5, but the ram I bought is CL4,
advertised as CL4 and also says so on the box of the ram itself.

In almost of all the program I see a chart that says something like this:
267MHZCL3
333MHZCL4
400MHZCL5

(WHY do they false advertise then if this is true?)

Is it safe to change the ram from 5-5-5-15 to 4-4-4-12?
(it was advertised as such, so it should be safe?) - and if I do that, should I increase the voltage (by 0.1v?, i think it runs on 1.8) or let the motherboard use it's Auto settings with the voltages (Mobo: GA965PDS3).

Question about the CPU FSB:
If I up my fsb to 333 and lower my multiplier to 7 (keeping the same exact 2400MHZ) - will that count as overclocking and break my warranty?
I just want to increase my fsb to 1333 (my motherboard supports it).

I am a PC gamer. I currently have a problem with my graphics card and I am hopeful that someone can help me answer my question.

I have a Radeon X1950Pro AGP graphics card with 512MB RAM. Everytime I play a graphics-intensive game (like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.), my whole computer locks up. I have to manually turn off the PC. Is there some kind of glitch with the Radeon X1950Pro cards to where they can only handle up to a certain load and then freeze up or what's the deal? I have been trying to figure out this problem and have even posted in the ATI forums but nobody has even bothered to try to answer my question. I know it's not overheating because the stock fan and heat sink work really well. It has to be something software related. I am using an older driver version cuz the newer ones were crippling my card's performance and causing it to do the same thing: lock up mid-game. Can someone please help me solve this problem or at least tell me why the card is doing that? Could it be the drivers?
