It's decent. Since it's a pre-built you're not getting a good bang for your buck, but unless you read up on building your own computer you're going to have to live with that fact. The 8600GT is a DirectX10 compatible card, which is nice, except that it's a lower-end DX10 card so it sacrifices power. In reality the later 7XXX cards are much more powerful than the 8600GT. You're still going to run most games out now fine, but any games coming out in the future, especially those that are graphics intense and running DX10, you're probably not going to be pleased. I personally wouldn't invest in a computer with the 8600GT. I would go for an 8800 series card (which is also going to boost the price quite a bit), or go for a 79XX card, which isn't DX10 capable, but would be more powerful.

If you're going Windows Vista, make sure you have 2GB, which this computer does have.

Hope that helped.

It is a below average gaming setup. It has a pretty decent mainstream DX10 card that would be bottlenecked by the less capable processor. Get a better processor option.

your duying off a retailer aren't you? id say its moderate. gaming computers will use intel core 2 duos, intel core 2 quads, or the amd athlon 64 x2. or get a pentium 4 and overclock it to 3.0 ghz or higher.

the graphics card isnt that great either. its not a high end card, more of a mid end one. true gamers will use 8800GTS or above.

other than that, your computer is ok. it'll be good for moderate games on medium settings. no pro gaming for you.

this computer is also going to get outdated pretty fast.

Sempron is not a good gaming processor. You need to upgrade that to the Athlon X2 or FX processors.
