I'm looking at:
2.0 GHz
vs
2.166 GHz
both intel core 2 duo with 1 gb RAM. Does that mean it's 8% faster? I'm thinking I might as well since I can't upgrade later but not $100 if it's only 8%.

Hello guys,

My question is about upgrading the memory of my new Gateway. The specs of my computer are:

Intel Core Duo Processor E4300
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
320 GB SATA II Hard Drive
1024 MB DDR2 (512x2)
I got 4 slot for memory

I will like to know if I buy 2, 1GB memory will I still be able to use the two 512 cards together that way I will make my computer 3GB?

P.S.

I got 4 slots. My question was, would it matter if I used two 1gb and two 512 in the same MOBO by doing this it will take my computer to 3gb instead of 1gb. I want to know if it will post any problems to my system.

Hi i need help with this i have a Dell Dimension 3000... and for some reason i click the CD drive and nothing happens at all the CD drive is not in the Device Manager and it is not detected i do. my warranty ran out on Dell so i am not paying for 50 bucks worth of help if someone can help here..


so is there anything i can do to get this drive to be ready again?

Im in the market for a new PC, possibly a HP, 3Gig ram, 640 HD... but i dont know if i should got for the AMD or Intel.

whenever i click on a file for example my computer or my music plus this happens with control panel: i click on it and the screen including everything like icons start menu currently opened programs but the background goes away for about 10 seconds then comes back in ANYONE knows ANYTHING about this PLEASE help me =(

i hav a UPS from HCL ( power mate 600SL E )
when the power goes off it blinks with an orange light.

But when i checked the power options from control pannel, under ups tab it is said "The UPS service is currently stopped" what is this? and how do i enable it?

I am shifting to Dubai soon and once i move in i have to buy some stuff there. Now i am a CGI Person and a high end graphics computer is important for me. A couple of days ago, my desktop was running really slow, so I ran a virus scan, checked for adware and spyware (that was installed just a few months ago when I had the computer fixed!!) Anyhow, now when I try starting the computer, the screen comes on to start in Safe Mode etc. Well, no matter which option you choose, the computer will act like it's going to boot up, but then it just restarts over and over again - never loading Windows. What could be happening?? Thanks a million in advance! :)
