i have a MSI S775 Intel 975X ATx Audio Lan power Up Edition motherboard.

Im looking to buy a grpahics cards for video editing (within a budget), obviously i want a card that supports all of Direct X9(c) features, but how important is the memory?

Would i be sacrifing too much if i plumped for a card with 128mb, or do all current games happily run with 128mb available if chipset has the power?

so my question is what graphics card should i buy for MSI S775 Intel 975X motherboard AND

how many mb, 128 or 256 or 512. have around £150 to spend.

I would like to take the hd from a computer with a dead (and very expensive) power supply, and put it into a working omputer. Trouble is that the hd is a sata drive, and the motherboard in the working computer has no socket for a sata.

I have another tower that i was given a few months back, it looks although it is a costom made tower, put in with motherboard etc etc. The 80gb HDD that come with it doesn't do anything! It has an AMD athlon 2000xp Processor, and runs 512mb of ram memory, i do have another 256 to add, depending which OS i use.

I am having trouble with loading ME onto it, it seems to be taking forever, to do what my old tower done within 12 hours!
I am still using the 10bg HDD as i have no other one ( that Works )

I am wondering if i should put XP back onto it because it might just go through the cycle of not working again, where it keeps restarting and returning the the safe mode option screen, and yet again restarting.

I also Have Windows 2000 Proffetionall, But when i try to install my broadband software it comes up with a grey box saying ' OrandBroadband Has caused an Error in Unknown.
What does this mean??

Many thanks, Dave ;-)

I've been itching to ask this: I've heard on certain motherboards mainly the Nvidia 680i or should I say the ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131073
It says that it can run 2 cards in PCI express slots at full x16 speeds and then a physics card at 8x speeds, but whenever I look at the ageia Physx card it says it's interface is PCI.... WTF? Am I missing something here? It will work right.... but how? And another thing, how many of you think the Physx card will be worth it to buy and how many of you who have it like it (who have actually played physics enabled games)? It's only $143, and if you don't how long do you think it will be until it is worth it to buy? 1 year? 2 years? 3 years?

So this morning I woke up and I noticed a blip on my taskbar that said I had low hard drive space, though the last time I checked, I had over 30 gigabytes (I have a 80 gigabyte hard drive). I checked, and there was only 60 kb! I deleted some unneeded stuff and I got my hard drive back up to two gigabytes, and then I noticed that it started to go back down, and in about twenty minutes, it was back all the way down again. Someone told me to run AdAware, so I did, and I removed a bunch of Spyware I didn't know I had, but now I still have next to no space on my hard drive, and I don't know how to fix it, let alone what's wrong.

Help! I'm freaking out over here.

Here are my specs, if I need to post them:
Windows XP
Intel Pentium 4, 3.2 GHZ
ATI Mobility Raedon 9100 IGP
512 MB RAM

I'm in the US looking to buy a computer. I can spend up to $800, but I'd prefer to go a bit cheaper. I'd like for it to be a desktop PC that will run The Sims 2 and all of its expansion packs very well. Here are the system requirements for The Sims 2:

Would this computer be a bad choice?
