hello i have a cd-rw drive and it will not detect any blank cds. CD-R or CD-RW what should i do? should i download a program for it?

Hi. Some readers and writers are more versatile in the brand on CD, but sounds like you have a problem if it can't read ANY type. Try a driver update.

More or less u need certain programs w/ CD burners to read a disk. My DVD burner was us less until i installed the Nero software. oh much important with a new CD burner, u have install the software using the old drive so u can get the driver info onto your system.

If your CD writer is not detecting blank cds you need to have it checked. You may have your computer do a standard download of patches and software.

Does it say, there is no disc in the drive? Or does it say, the disc has 0 Bytes?
