FSX is as hardware-dependent as Oblivion and Supreme Commander are. In other words, it would eat your system for breakfast, and still not be full. My 2.8 Ghz Opteron, with 2 GB of system RAM, and an X1900XT video card, only averages between 20 & 40 fps with it.

With your system, you should really look into getting M$'s FS2004, then adding a video card soon after, because your system is barely enough to be able to enjoy FS2004. FSX would be a slideshow on it, everywhere, and all the time.

Well, your system meets the minimum requirements, so I expcet that Flight Sim X will run- just probably not very well.
With most games or sims, it's best to look at the RECOMMENDED system specs instead of the minimum. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't list anything besides the minimum on their FSX page.

In any even, it looks like you'll be ok in terms of processor speed and memory- you've got more than triple the minimum needed (under XP) and your processsor is ok... but you need a video card.

That Radeon Xpress 200 is a type of motherboard video- so it's still slower than a $50 dedicated video card.

You'll probably want at least a Radeon X1650 or GeForce 7600GT for satisfactory gameplay.

Here are the real requirements...
* Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 / Vista
* PC with 1 GHz equivalent or higher processor
* 256 MB of system RAM for Windows XP SP2 / 512 MB Vista
* 14 GB available hard disk space
* DVD-ROM drive
* 32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card required
* Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
* Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
* 56.6 Kbps or better modem for online play

Your comp should be able to play it.

fsx desire a quad center cpu, 2 gigs of ram or greater, and an 8800 picture card, and a joystick. even then, it may run uneven in case you take place each and every little thing (such using fact the hidden stuff)
