I'm not sure that video editing actually uses a video card. Even if so, the processor and system RAM are much more important. A few people made their reccomendations based on the fact that you would be gaming because they eigher think you will change you mind and decide you want to game instead, or simply didn't read your post.
Since video editing doesn't utilize video card power very much, a 128MB would be fine, but unless you're getting a Quadro or FireGL card (which would be much better then the GeForces that others suggested), you should be able to get a card with 256MB RAM at that price. I don't know where to shop in England, but a card that's ~$230 should be able to be bought in England for £150.
If you want a Quadro card (which I guess I would reccomend against unless you are considering 3D modeling): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133133
If you want a regular card that people use for gaming go with:

However, I reccomend that you dump any extra money into more system RAM rather than a better video card, unless you have 4GB or more already.

My old ATI AIW 9700 Pro 128mb card was Directx9c and worked just fine with call of duty 2 multiplayer. If you want the best resolution, get more memory on the card. 512mb is really really good, but 256mb will do.

If you are going to do video editing, I would suggest to get a card with the most memory you can afford. You will be surprised at the difference in speed when the final rendering is completing. If you're going to be gaming, it all depends on what type of game(s) you'll be playing.

This card should be fine,.. http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=GC-XN795GT512
Bang on target as far as budget is concerned and is 512Mb! Will run SWEET on that motherboard board of yours. It's not only fast, but it's capable too, will be a good addition to your system :)
I do however suggest you do a little research on getting a compatible, alternative cooler for this card, (any new card actually; most tend to be fairly noisy). The Zalman coolers are regarded as one of the better makes; newegg.com has LOTS of customer reviews of various products, inc' this card I've mentioned. http://www.newegg.com Hope this helps. :)

128Mb is usually minimum, 256Mb just right and 512Mb more for heavy gaming. You will be fine with 128Mb ddr3. It is pretty fast. 256Mb ddr3 will always beat 512Mb ddr2.
