Or does it take more energy to boot it up if you get on and off several times each day?

I have an AMD Socket 754 Motherboard in my PC (Foxconn), with the SiS 755 NorthBridge in it.

I have (for the first time) checked the Temperatures on Both my North and South Bridges, and they seem to be running Hotter than my CPU!!

My NorthBridge SiS 755 runs around 124F (or higher), and my SouthBridge SiS 964 runs around 109F. My CPU runs between 90F to 100F, and about 8F Warmer at the Core.

I am Currently Liquid-Cooling my CPU, and Raptor Hard Drive.
Are these Temperatures Normal for the North & South Bridges??

I have also Installed SpeedFan, and have found the Same Temps in there (just a couple Degrees off).
And what is the ACPI?!?

My parents have two computers that are older models but still work great. They bought a router so they could both be online and it works as long as both computers are plugged in to it. Well they want to move one of the computers downstairs so they can have their separate spaces. Is there a way to get a wireless connection on an older computer? There's no built-in wireless and no card slot, so is there something they can buy that can connect to one computer AND pick up a wireless signal? Please help, this is a serious question. And don't suggest they buy a new computer because if it were that simple, I wouldn't even be asking. Thanks guys!!

With the quad prices dropping in July 22 I am considering buying a Quad. But is the Q6700 worth the $300 extra or should I just get the Q6600.

I will be running thi son an nforce 680i chipset mobo, 8800gts 640mb, 2GB patriot ram, 150GB 10k WD raptors

Might consider overclocking but for now Ill just stick to the stock speeds

OKay we have a Hp desktop computer and its a xp and its about 6-7 years old. And its a piece od junk now! It is slow and has tons of junk on it. But I have a question...if we were to buy Windows Vista Basic and delete everything off of this computer and install windows Vista, then would it be like new again?

I am not a computer wiz so I dont know alot, but could we do that? And just get all this stuff off of here and start over.

Any suggestions and comments would be nice!
