How can i make system recovery cds for my computer?
i need to make some system recovery cds for my computer it's done been in the shop and wiped out , but i dont see anything on my computer where i can make a recovery cd just incase i need to do system recovery in the future and how many cds do i need to buy before i start creating them is there a link or anything on the microsoft website where i can get a program download for creating recovery cds

you need to go to your backup utility. Go to your start menu, then go to your properties and then go to your system tools. then in that extended list, you should see BACKUP. Click on that.
It may take a second to load because it has to look for backup devices. After that you should get a screen that welcomes you to the wizard. Click next and then you should see where it asks you what you want to do. You want to back up files and settings.
Now you should come to where it asks you to specify what you want to back up. It depends of how your system is set up. If you have multiple accounts on your computer, then you would want to select the second choice, but if you only have one account, then you want to select the first one. You could also select the third one if you want everything on the computer and it also creates a RECOVERY DISK. that is the one that you are looking for. You need to click on that and then choose a place to save your backup, such as to a floppy or a CD. Then you need to name it. You should be all set from there. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing else. It should begin.
