My parents have two computers that are older models but still work great. They bought a router so they could both be online and it works as long as both computers are plugged in to it. Well they want to move one of the computers downstairs so they can have their separate spaces. Is there a way to get a wireless connection on an older computer? There's no built-in wireless and no card slot, so is there something they can buy that can connect to one computer AND pick up a wireless signal? Please help, this is a serious question. And don't suggest they buy a new computer because if it were that simple, I wouldn't even be asking. Thanks guys!!

Yes there is a solution !
Do the computers have USB ?

If yes: then a USB wireless adapter is your choice.
It looks just like a USB memory stick but instead it picks up wireless signals !

Depending on how old the machines are (but assuming they are not older than 7 years) most computers will have a PCI slot available. And yes, there are PCI Wireless cards available to go inside a desktop (can be found for as low as $20 on some sites).
If the computer has USB - then you could get a USB Wireless adapter and use that.
