yes you can when you buy a new card you just turn off your computer place the card in the right socket, then when you turn on your computer you go to bios and make the primary video adapter pci xpress then when windows loads it will say new hardware detected then you install the drivers that come with the card on a cd and it will automatically delete the old drivers

Normally, yes. Nearly all systems with on-board video allow for this option. Some require a MB jumper moved, some a BIOS change.

Yes I done exactly that, the integrated GFX on mine was so crappy I did it just few days after buying it.
