Fans, Drives, etc not spinning less ware and tear.
Makes no noise or heat..
Does not collect dust as fast internally.
More available for hacker to hack.(not really likely)

Leave On.______________________

it comes down to how often you will be turning your system off and on to which is best. If it is going to be a frequent thing. Leave it on. If you shut it down and leave it down for awhile that is the best way.

hope this helps...

Hi. f you are going to use it later then sometimes 'Standby' saves the power necessary to fire up the drives and all. Hibernation takes a small amount of power to save your current RAM data. Turning it off stops almost all power consumption. My answer is turn it off before leaving it for hours.

Yes. It saves power.

You can also hibernate it - which turns it off with an option to restore to precisely what you were doing.
