Yo, try reinstalling the drivers and inspect all the cables and the sound card's connection. If it is an onboard sound card check the motherboard's manual to find out where the audio codec chip is and vissualy see if it's looking good. ( mine burnt out so I had to disable it and but a sound card )

Check control panel and then go to Audio, and check that whatever sound device you have is attached properly to the computer, it's drivers are installed on your computers and it suppoerts yuour Operating System.
