First of all, you are wrong vista is good. i know exactly why vista is not working. Your computer is not compatable with vista. Type in google "compatability of vista" and you will get the requirments of your computer for vista

It sounds like you didn't do your homework before you upgraded to Vista. I Installed about a month ago with very few problems. You need to make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements. Just because it can run XP doesn't mean that it can run Vista. If you don't meet the minimum requirements, I would suggest upgrading your computer to meet the requirements or downgrading to XP. If you meet the requirements, try doing a fresh install. It will automatically move all the old Vista system files into a folder called Windows.old which can then be deleted.

P.S. If you post your processor type and amount of RAM, it will help us all!

Sounds like you royally botched the installation, or your computer just can't handle Vista. Switch back to XP, and give Vista some time to come into its own.

If you did the up grade, a clean install on a fresh formatted hard drive is best.

Make sure you have Vista drivers for all of your system parts.

I've been running it for several months and it seems to work well.

Maybe your hardware is just not up to the job. It's a pretty demanding OS. You didn't mention any details of your system.

For people considering installing Vista, check first here:

to see if your system can handle it. Otherwise, you'll be sorry.

Hey what's your PC configuration? Was it an upgrade or a new installation?
